Information security

Information security is a scientific field focused on ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and accessibility of information processed in information systems, as well as on countering cyberattacks.
The program «Ensuring Information Security in Information Systems» includes:
- familiarization with information security methodology and terminology used in this field;
- studying the architecture of information networks and systems and the principles of their operation;
- gaining practical skills in analyzing traffic in information networks;
- studying various types of cyberattacks and methods and tools for countering them;
- studying software and hardware tools for information protection and gaining practical skills in their configuration.
The program «Ensuring Information Security in IoT Systems» includes:
- formation of ideas about the current state of software and hardware tools for information security (including in IoT systems), their development prospects, and their role in modern society;
- studying the process of configuring network equipment, boards, microcontrollers, and sensors for various purposes, as well as their application for solving various tasks in the field of information security and the Internet of Things;
- familiarization with current means of cryptographic protection of IoT information and study of means for creating and/or calculating a secret data encryption key relevant for IoT systems;
- development of practical skills and abilities to apply methods and tools for countering information security threats in IoT systems.

Digital systems information security is a field of knowledge that combines information about modern cyber threats, data protection methods, network technologies, and the security of Internet of Things (IoT) devices.
The Information Security of Digital Systems program includes:
- study of modern types of cyber threats, basic methods
and means of countering them, as well as ethical and legal aspects of information security, including the protection of personal data; - formation of practical and research competencies
in the field of protection of computer and IoT networks, web applications, and digital devices; - mastering the principles of building secure networks, the basics of cryptographic data protection, digital forensics
databases, and incident analysis; - acquiring skills in working with hardware (Arduino, ESP, Raspberry Pi), analyzing vulnerabilities, and simulating attacks;
- development of independence, critical thinking, and the ability to perform and present individual and team research projects;
- designing and implementing proprietary technical solutions for protecting digital systems.
