About educational shifts
Educational shifts are one of the main activities of the National Children’s Technopark, which provides students in grades 9-11 with the opportunity to study for free in their chosen educational field.
If the educational program is successfully completed, students can continue working on the project in remote form.
Students who have successfully completed the educational program in full-time and distance learning formats may receive a recommendation from the Supervisory Board of the National Children’s Technology Park Educational Institution for admission to higher education institutions without entrance exams for the “Engineering and Technology” and “Natural Sciences” educational profiles, as well as for admission to lyceums and universities to complete the secondary education program with the study of specific subjects and modules at an advanced level without entrance exams in accordance with thecriteria.
Organization of an educational shift
Each educational session lasts 24 days and includes:
- classes in educational areas (additional education program for gifted children and youth);
- lessons on academic subjects (general secondary education curriculum);
- extracurricular activities.
Classes in educational fields are conducted by teachers from leading universities in our country, using scientific laboratories equipped with modern equipment.
Lessons in academic subjects are held at Secondary School No. 225 in Minsk according to an individual curriculum.
Extracurricular activities include excursions and events that help students develop critical thinking, social skills, and creative and communicative abilities.
Living conditions
During the shift, students live in a block-type Technodom. Each block has two rooms for two people, a toilet, and a shower.
The dining room offers five meals a day. There is a laundry room on each floor.
The Technodom has a gym, a sports hall, board games, study rooms, a rhetoric hall, an exhibition hall, and an auditorium, all designed for a productive leisure time.
For the duration of the shift, students are provided with:
- transfer between places of accommodation, study, and leisure;
- textbooks;
- laptop (if you can’t bring your own);
- medical services.
